Basketball Recap: Greencastle's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a good run, but Greencastle unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the Sullivan Golden Arrows. The contest marked the Tiger Cubs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Several Tiger Cubs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Gooch, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. Gooch's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taygan McRoberts, who posted ten points.

Greencastle's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Sullivan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Greencastle will be taking part in a tournament against Marshall at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sullivan, they and Edgewood will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
