Basketball Recap: Bethany Community Takes a Loss

Bethany Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 84-53 loss at the hands of the Carver Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 85-41 two weeks ago.

Bethany Community lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaegan Barker, who posted 13 points. That's the most points Barker has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Elijah Harvey, who had 11 points.

Carver got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tiquan March out in front who went 10 for 23 en route to 25 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. March is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Glaspie, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points along with eight assists and eight boards.

Bethany Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Carver, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.

Bethany Community has already played their next game, a 72-39 defeat against Leadership Academy on the 31st. As for Carver, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 82-53 victory against Cornerstone Charter on the 31st.
