Basketball Recap: Turner Victorious + How To Watch

Turner saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They walked away with a 59-51 win over KIPP Legacy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Bears.

Turner had a senior duo take command as Michael Marshall shot 55% from the field on his way to 20 points and Tyland Mcgee dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Marshall is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Carlos Alexander, who went 5-for-8 en route to 11 points and five rebounds.

Turner now has a winning record of 2-1. As for KIPP Legacy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Turner will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonner Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Bears will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for KIPP Legacy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Omaha Westside at 4:45 p.m. on the 22nd.
