Basketball Recap: Chloe Arredondo Key Part of a Team Effort in Lions Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chapin, Clint was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Bowie Bears by a score of 41-32. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Bears back in November, they had to take a 41-37 loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clint to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Arredondo, who posted 13 points and seven boards. Davana Carrasco was another key player, putting up seven points along with 11 boards and four steals.

Clint's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Clint Lions face off against the Fabens Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowie and Irvin will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
