Baseball Recap: Delaware Valley Comes Up Short

Delaware Valley's last matchup with Abington Heights could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Wednesday. The Warriors lost 10-0 to the Comets. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Delaware Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Abington Heights, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delaware Valley will face off against East Stroudsburg South at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Abington Heights, they will square off against Wallenpaupack Area at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
