Softball Recap: Brandon Takes a Loss

Brandon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Riverview Sharks, falling 17-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2017.

Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Riverview, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Brandon Eagles face off against Armwood Hawks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Riverview, they will face off against East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Sharks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
