It was a good run, but Wapsie Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norwalk. Wapsie Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Norwalk apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Taylor Buhr paced Wapsie Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Buhr got some help from Tessa Brunscheon and her 15 assists.
Wapsie Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Norwalk, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Wapsie Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Van Meter on the 27th. As for Norwalk, they will square off against Indianola at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
