Basketball Game Preview: Chequamegon Screaming Eagles vs. Hurley Northstars

Chequamegon hasn't had much luck against Hurley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Chequamegon Screaming Eagles will welcome the Hurley Northstars at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-34, which was the final score in Chequamegon's tilt against Edgar on Friday.

Meanwhile, Hurley came up short against South Shore on Thursday and fell 55-43. The Northstars haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Hurley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Chequamegon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.

Chequamegon was taken down by Hurley 63-24 when the teams last played back in January of 2020. Can Chequamegon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
