Baseball Game Preview: St. Clair Bulldogs vs. Warrenton Warriors

The St. Clair Bulldogs will challenge the Warrenton Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

St. Clair is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Sullivan on Thursday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warrenton). They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over Holt on Wednesday. Considering the Warriors have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Warrenton, bringing their record up to 9-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Clair, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
