Recap: Point Pleasant Big Blacks vs. Warren Warriors

The Point Pleasant Big Blacks were the 65-57 winner over the Warren Warriors when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Point Pleasant was dealt a 68-34 loss at the hands of Warren on Friday. While losing is never fun, Point Pleasant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 622nd in West Virginia, while Warren is ranked 137th in Ohio).

Josh Chapman and Grayson Tucker certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Chapman scored seven points along with five rebounds, while Tucker scored nine points.

The game was Stadelman's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Wells, who scored nine points.

Point Pleasant's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-5. As for Warren, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Point Pleasant will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday. As for Warren, they will head out on the road to face off against Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
