            Baseball Recap: Granbury Pirates vs. Colleyville Heritage Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Granbury had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Colleyville Heritage Panthers  4-2. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Levi Martinez made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Martinez wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Blake Bramlett, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run.  Brazos Cornelison also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  triple of the season.
Granbury's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Colleyville Heritage,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 16-11-1.
Granbury will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
