It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cypress Bay can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Columbus Explorers on Friday. The Lightning's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Cypress Bay couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Columbus a tough time in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 33-31, 25-19, 19-25, 25-18.

Cypress Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Columbus, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-3.

Cypress Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbus, they will challenge Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Explorers surely won't give up without a fight.
