Basketball Recap: St. Michael's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

St. Michael can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past the Savio Eagles 35-32. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 574th, while the Eagles are ranked 254th).

St. Michael's pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Savio, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 19-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Michael's and Savio will both be playing TMI-Episcopal the next time they take the court. St. Michael's will head out to face TMI-Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Savio will host them on Tuesday.
