Baseball Recap: Dowagiac Takes a Loss

Dowagiac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Bridgman Bees, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Chieftains were not able to make up for their loss to the Bees from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Dowagiac saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamere Bacon, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Dowagiac's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Bridgman, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

While Dowagiac had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
