Football Recap: Clearfield Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Clearfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 34-28 win over the Penn Cambria Panthers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bison considering their 13-point performance the game before.

Despite the loss, Penn Cambria had strong showings from Brady Jones, who threw for 128 yards and one TD on only 11 passes, and Evan Latterner, who rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown. Latterner got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards.

Clearfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.6 points over those games. As for Penn Cambria, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Clearfield nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
