Basketball Game Preview: Little Snake River Rattlers vs. North Park Wildcats

The Little Snake River Rattlers will venture away from home to face off against the North Park Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. North Park took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Little Snake River, who comes in off a win.

Little Snake River is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Fort Washakie 82-22 on Saturday. With the Rattlers ahead 49-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, North Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-27 heartbreaker at the hands of Caprock Academy.

Little Snake River will need to focus on slowing down Jenna Sessions, one of several North Park players who made an impact when they last played. She posted six points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Solano, who put up three points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Little Snake River is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for North Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Little Snake River strolled past North Park in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 49-33. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was North Park's Dezirae Gonzales, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten rebounds.
