Softball Recap: Madison Central Beats Johnson Central for Their Third Straight Victory

Madison Central owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They came out on top against the Johnson Central Golden Eagles by a score of 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The result came thanks to Kate Drury's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Madison Central's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Guilbault, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Makayla Bickett also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Madison Central now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Johnson Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
