Soccer Recap: Philo Takes a Loss

Philo lost against Maysville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Electrics lost 9-3 to the Panthers. Philo were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-2.

Parker Johnson and Ashton Farris scored all three of Philo's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Philo's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Maysville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Philo wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Shenandoah on the 28th. As for Maysville, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against Fairfield Union on the 30th.
