Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Davis Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jefferson Davis Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mead Hall Episcopal School Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20, 25-6.

Jefferson Davis Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but ABBY DEERING led the charge by getting seven digs and three aces. DEERING has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was RILEY WILLIAMS, who had six kills, six digs, and four aces.

Jefferson Davis Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
