Lawrence County was sadly handed a defeat on Monday, but Logan Mays did his best to prevent it. Mays was unstoppable, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Mays and Lawrence County will take on Battle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Battle Creek will enter the matchup having just beaten East Hickman County, so Lawrence County will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
