It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but John Paul II had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Prestonwood Christian Lions as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Considering the Cardinals have won 20 games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was John Paul II's 11th in a row) raised their record to 25-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Prestonwood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Looking ahead, John Paul II will face off against Liberty Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 2.1, the Warriors 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Prestonwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
