Softball Recap: PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Takes a Loss

If PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central was feeling good fresh off their 10-2 takedown of New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluejays came up short against the Williamsville Bullets on Thursday, falling 10-3. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Bullets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Aubrey Vogel was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Williamsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Rushville-Industry at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamsville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Carrollton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something the Bullets surely won't give up without a fight.
