Grosse Ile lost to Airport back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Red Devils snuck past the Jets with a 14-10 win. The game was the first time the Red Devils have beaten the Jets on their field since October 9, 2015.

Grosse Ile didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dominic Cucinella and Rocco Cappelino. Grosse Ile received some extra help from Cucinella, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The victory made it two in a row for Grosse Ile and bumps their season record up to 2-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 10 points in those games. As for Airport, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Grosse Ile will host Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Airport, they will head out on the road to face off against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jets will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
