Basketball Recap: John Paul II Comes Up Short

John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Incarnate Word Academy Angels, falling 59-27. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Centurions of the 51-34 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they moved to 9-9 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

John Paul II will head out to take on Three Rivers at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Harmony School of Excellence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
