Baseball Game Preview: Corinth Riverhawks vs. Hartford Central Tanagers

The Corinth Riverhawks will face off against the Hartford Central Tanagers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Corinth has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Granville hit Corinth with a six-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Riverhawks took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Horde. The Riverhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Keegan Baker, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Hartford Central finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against Salem, falling 12-2. The Tanagers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hartford Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Corinth, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Corinth skirted past Hartford Central 11-9 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Riverhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tanagers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
