Soccer Game Preview: Blessed Trinity vs. Allatoona

The Blessed Trinity Titans will take on the Allatoona Buccaneers on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Blessed Trinity comes in on nine and Allatoona on 19.

Blessed Trinity is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They had just enough and edged out St. Pius X Catholic 2-1. Given Blessed Trinity's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while St. Pius X Catholic are ranked 51st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alba Zaccagnino was the driving force of Blessed Trinity's attack as she scored both of Blessed Trinity's goals, bringing her season total up to 12 goals.

North Oconee typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Allatoona proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Titans 4-3.

Allatoona pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those eight contests. As for Blessed Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.

Blessed Trinity skirted past Allatoona 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
