Central Cabarrus picks up 14th straight win on the road

Recap: Central Cabarrus Vikings vs. Lake Norman Charter Knights

The Central Cabarrus Vikings put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Lake Norman Charter for the full four quarters, racking up a 87-41 victory on the road. Central Cabarrus has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Desmond Kent Jr. was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chase Daniel, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Collin Mcconneyhead, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaison Propst, who scored six points.

Central Cabarrus' victory was their 14th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.6 points per game. As for Lake Norman Charter, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Cabarrus will take on East Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Rowan is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Rowan at 7:30 p.m. West Rowan is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
