Softball Recap: Camelback Comes Up Short

Camelback couldn't beat Cesar Chavez on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the first inning. The Spartans came up short against the Champions, falling 21-9. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Champions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Cesar Chavez, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camelback will take on Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cesar Chavez, they will square off against Tucson High Magnet School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Champions surely won't give up without a fight.
