Anderson-Shiro came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Brazos Cougars as they made off with an 11-2 victory. The Fighting Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Anderson-Shiro pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brazos, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Anderson-Shiro beat Brazos by a score of 11-2 on Saturday.
