Baseball Recap: Evergreen Park Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Evergreen Park entered their tilt with Argo on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Argonauts. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Yarim Garcia, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Carlos Flores was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI.

Garcia wasn't the only one making solid contact: Evergreen Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Evergreen Park's record now sits at 11-1. As for Argo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen Park will square off against Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Argo, they will venture away from home to square off against Thornton Fractional North at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
