Basketball Recap: Cody Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Cody Comets came up short against Detroit Leadership Academy and fell 41-32.

Leading Detroit Leadership Academy to victory were LILA PINKSTON and DANA HIGHTOWER. PINKSTON went 8 for 17 en route to 16 points in addition to seven steals and six boards, while HIGHTOWER posted 13 points along with six assists and four steals. PINKSTON has been hot recently, having posted six or more steals the last four times she's played. TYLA SIBBY was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Cody has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Detroit Leadership Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Cody will head out to challenge Osborn at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Osborn will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Cody surely won't give up without a fight. As for Detroit Leadership Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Ecorse at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
