Basketball Recap: Leto Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Leto had lost six straight headed into Friday's matchup, but Izaiah Vazquez didn't let it get to seven. The Leto Falcons strolled past the Largo Packers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 70-52 thanks in part to Vazquez, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jakobe Bruton, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played.

Largo's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Clark, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and six steals. Cailon Kaigler was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Leto's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Largo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Leto wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-50 win against Steinbrenner on the 7th. As for Largo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-57 defeat against Mitchell on the 10th.
