Smith County is a perfect 7-0 against Watertown since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Owls will look to defend their home pitch against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Watertown took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Smith County, who comes in off a win.

Smith County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Stone Memorial as they made off with a 4-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Smith County considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Watertown fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Livingston Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Watertown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Livingston Academy are ranked 82nd).

Watertown has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Smith County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5-1.

Everything went Smith County's way against Watertown in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Smith County made off with a 4-0 win. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
