Preview: North Callaway Thunderbirds vs. Hallsville Indians

North Callaway is 1-9 against Hallsville since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The North Callaway Thunderbirds will be home for the holidays to greet the Hallsville Indians at 7:30 p.m. North Callaway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 380th, while Hallsville is ranked 30th).

Last Tuesday, North Callaway lost to Montgomery County at home by a decisive 69-51 margin.

Despite their loss, North Callaway saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Isiah Craighead, who scored 12 points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. The contest was Craighead's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Pezold, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

Hallsville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 26 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Monday with ease, bagging a 64-28 win over Northeast.

North Callaway's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hallsville, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
