Volleyball Game Preview: Clovis West Golden Eagles vs. Clovis North Broncos

The Clovis West Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Clovis North Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Clovis West came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Clovis.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Clovis North came up short against Buchanan on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Clovis North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-10, 25-19.

Clovis North has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season. As for Clovis West, they dropped their record down to 10-26 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Clovis West suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Clovis North in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
