Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Turtle Lake

Turtle Lake entered their tilt with Grantsburg on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 61-48. For the Lakers, this counts as revenge for the 50-38 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Lexi Tarman produced another solid performance shooting 40% from the field en route to 26 points and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hubbard, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Turtle Lake's record is now 3-1. As for Grantsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Turtle Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Shell Lake at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grantsburg will challenge rival Siren at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
