Basketball Recap: Oran Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oak Ridge last Friday, Oran came back down to earth. The Oran Eagles took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leopold Wildcats on Monday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Oran dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Leopold, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oran will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Leopold at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Leopold, they are taking a road trip to challenge Campbell at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th.
