Douglas won against Rio Rico on Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Douglas blew past the Nogales Apaches 12-3. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Douglas' fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Nogales, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Douglas has already played their next game, an 11-2 victory against Rio Rico on the 22nd. As for Nogales, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-0 loss against Flowing Wells on the 22nd.
