Volleyball Recap: Shawe Memorial Takes a Loss

Shawe Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Jeffersonville Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hilltoppers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-16.

Shawe Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Jeffersonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Shawe Memorial will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on May 6. As for Jeffersonville, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Scottsburg at 7:30 p.m.
