Softball Recap: Oswego East Wolves vs. Yorkville Foxes
After flying high against Bolingbrook on Thursday, Oswego East came back down to earth. The Wolves fell 10-6 to the Yorkville Foxes on Monday. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Foxes earlier this season, when they won 6-1.
Danielle Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Sammy Herrick, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Yorkville, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.
Oswego East will square off against Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yorkville, they will take on Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
