Football Recap: St. Paul Comes Up Short on the Road Against Kearney Catholic

St. Paul kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Kearney Catholic Stars, falling 37-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Stars: they've now lost three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why St. Paul lost, don't look at Zandyn Weller. Despite the final result, he picked up 79 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 68 yards.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch

Kearney Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Bosshamer, who threw for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 16 passes.

Looking ahead, St. Paul will face off against Raymond Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kearney Catholic, they will challenge Ord at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
