Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence managed to keep up with Highland until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Independence Falcons lost 4-0 to the Highland Scots. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scots earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Independence is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13-3. As for Highland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Independence take on the Bakersfield Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland, they will be playing at home against Frontier at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
