Football Recap: Camelback Takes a Loss

Camelback lost against Arcadia back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans fell just short of the Titans by a score of 31-28. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Camelback got some senior leadership from Angel Neria and Christian Lee. Neria rushed for 105 yards and one TD on only eight carries, while Lee gained 166 total yards and two touchdowns. Neria's longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Ryan Jimenez was a one-man wrecking crew For Arcadia. as he rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. What's more, Jimenez posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Ian Slater also helped out with an impressive 100 receiving yards.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Arcadia, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camelback will venture away from home to challenge Desert View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arcadia, they will head out to face off against Moon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
