Basketball Recap: Islamic Foundation Wins Going Away Against Aqsa

Islamic Foundation's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Aqsa Legends as the Islamic Foundation Chargers made off with a 52-29 victory. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Aqsa still got an impressive performance from Noor Saleh, who posted 22 points. That was a full 75.9% of Aqsa's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Islamic Foundation's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Aqsa, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing MCC the next time they take the court. Islamic Foundation will head out to face MCC at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Aqsa will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
