Volleyball Recap: Michigan City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Michigan City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Portage Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-10.

Michigan City's offense was headlined by Bella Ketcham and Kyah Hart, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Rachel Jones and her five assists. Hart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Michigan City's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Portage, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Portage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mishawaka on the 20th. Hopefully Michigan City paid attention to the Indians' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Indians at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
