Volleyball Recap: Salpointe Catholic Gets the Win

Salpointe Catholic came into Saturday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Horizon Huskies 2-1. For the Lancers, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2018.

Kate Mobley paced Salpointe Catholic's offense, picking up 13 kills. Mobley got some help from Callen Hutchens and her 15 assists. Elizabeth Bruzzone controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Salpointe Catholic's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Horizon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Coming up, Salpointe Catholic will head out to challenge Ironwood Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horizon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Desert Mountain on the 29th.
