Basketball Game Preview: Ithaca Yellowjackets vs. Carrollton Cavaliers

The Ithaca Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the Carrollton Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ithaca will be strutting in after a win while Carrollton will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Ithaca earned a 61-48 victory over Reed City. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Coyotes are ranked 621st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Carrollton lost to Hemlock at home by a 48-31 margin on Friday. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win made it two in a row for Ithaca and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Carrollton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything came up roses for Ithaca against Carrollton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ithaca since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
