Baseball Recap: Piscataway Vo-Tech Picks Up 11th Consecutive Win

Piscataway Vo-Tech put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over East Brunswick Vo-Tech. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 10-3 win East Brunswick Vo-Tech walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Piscataway Vo-Tech got a great performance from Brody Guthrie as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Guthrie has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kyle Malchiodi was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Skara, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Piscataway Vo-Tech's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for East Brunswick Vo-Tech, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Piscataway Vo-Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against East Brunswick Vo-Tech: the pair will be back at it again later today.
