Carver extended their postseason success on Friday against Burke County. They strolled past the Bears with points to spare, taking the game 33-14. The Tigers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Carver got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelston Tarver out in front who rushed for 187 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Those 187 rushing yards gave Tarver a new career-high. Zach Watts also helped out as he racked up 126 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Carver was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 418 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Carver's defense stepped up as well, laying out Sean Vandiver five times. The heavy lifting was done by DeMarcus O'Neal and Tristian Givens, who racked up four sacks between them. O'Neal is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Carver's victory bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Burke County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.

Carver will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hapeville Charter at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 5.4, the Hornets 14.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Burke County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
