Baseball Recap: Burgin Wins Going Away Against Iroquois

Burgin had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Iroquois on Wednesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Raiders. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Burgin's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Iroquois, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Burgin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Danville Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Iroquois, they will challenge Waggener at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
